2012 Congressional Pig Book Rolling Out April 17, 2012

(Washington, D.C.) – Save the date! The little pink book that makes politicians squirm is back. Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) will release the 2012 Congressional Pig Book at a news conference on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

The Congressional Pig Book is CAGW’s annual report on pork-barrel spending in the federal budget. The 2012 Pig Book features a complete database of pork projects and profiles the most egregious examples from the appropriations bills. Speakers will discuss the current state of earmark reform, the increasingly tenuous earmark moratorium, and what needs to be done to stop Congress from continuing its swinish ways…permanently.

CAGW will be joined by Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.), Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), as well as Representatives Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Tom Price (R-Ga.), and Paul Broun (R-Ga.).
