Conservatives are united behind the efforts of President Trump and Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought in pursuing a robust strategy of pocket rescissions to cut spending and return accountability to the federal government.

As Congress prepares their appropriations legislation, it has become clear that big spenders in Congress and establishment Washington are intent on undermining President Trump’s popular cost cutting agenda, which includes clawing back taxpayer money being spent on wasteful, fraudulent, and duplicative programs identified by the Department of Government Efficiency.

OMB Director Vought has outlined a plan to use all tools at the Administration’s disposal to cut spending, including pocket rescissions, which would result in billions of savings to the taxpayers. We strongly support these cuts and view them as critical to executing on the president’s agenda of returning power to the voters and away from the entrenched and political bureaucracy.

Conservatives are in full support of President Trump and his Cabinet in identifying as many spending cuts as possible and executing on that vision through the rescissions process as provided by law.
