**CAGW to Unveil Public vs. Private Employee Compensation Report**
(Washington, DC) – Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) will hold a press conference at 12:00 PM Eastern on Thursday, September 27th at the National Press Club’s Bloomberg Room to unveil a new report, Public Servants or Privileged Class: How State Government Employees are Paid Better Than Their Private Sector Counterparts. This report analyzes state government employee wages and benefits in all 50 states, and explores in-depth the yawning gap in compensation between public and private sector employees who perform the same jobs. It adds to the growing body of research addressing the role of public sector compensation in the burgeoning public pension crisis.
