Vote 'YES' on FY 2014 CR
Letters to Officials
September 19, 2013
U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, D.C. 20515
Dear Representative,
You will soon consider H .J. Res. 59, the fiscal year 2014 Continuing Appropriations Resolution, sponsored by Rep. Hal Rogers (R-Ky.). On behalf of more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to vote in favor of this legislation.
H. J. Res. 59 would fund the government until December 15, 2013 at the levels established in the 2011 Budget Control Act, while fully and permanently defunding Obamacare. CCAGW has consistently supported legislative efforts to permanently repeal and replace Obamacare. Our members are also determined to ensure that Congress retains the sequestration spending caps and limits mandated by law, which have been and will remain essential to reducing the deficit.
At a time when the national debt exceeds $16 trillion, it is imperative that Congress continue to reduce spending. I urge you to support the FY 2014 Continuing Resolution as a positive step in this direction. All votes on H. J. Res. 59 will be among those considered in CCAGW’s 2013 Congressional Ratings.
Sincerely,
Tom Schatz
President, CCAGW
