You will soon consider H.R. 1, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to support this legislation.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act presents an historic opportunity to fix our nation’s broken tax code and unleash the economic potential of the American people. From a permanent corporate rate of 20 percent that dramatically enhances America’s global competitiveness, to a simplification of the tax code that will allow most Americans to file their taxes on a postcard, H.R. 1 delivers comprehensive, pro-growth tax reform.
It is time to strengthen the economy and put more money back into the pockets of every American. All votes on H.R. 1 will be among those considered for CCAGW’s 2017 Congressional Ratings.
