CCAGW Vote Alert: Amendments to H.R. 3351

Dear Representative,

You will soon consider H.R. 3351, Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2020. On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to support the following amendments to H.R. 3351:

Rep. Glenn Grothman’s (R-Wis.) amendment to reduce each amount appropriated or made available in this Act by 3.1 percent.

Rep. Jim Banks’ (R-Ind.) amendment to reduce spending for each amount made available by this act, except amounts made available to the Department of Defense, by 14 percent.

Furthermore, I urge you to oppose the following amendments:

Rep. Nydia Velázquez’s (D-N.Y.) amendment to increase funding for Small Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Development Programs by $1 million, with the increase intended to specifically support Growth Accelerators.

Rep. Gerry Connolly’s (D-Va.) amendment to prohibit the Office of Personnel Management from carrying out any furloughs or reductions in force of its employees.

All votes on H.R. 3351 will be among those considered in CCAGW’s 2019 Congressional Ratings.
