The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) urges all members of Congress to co-sign a letter to President Bush being circulated by Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Calif.) offering to support the vetoing of bills due to any unnecessary spending contained within.
Faced with a $521 billion deficit and the costs of fighting a war on terror, Congress needs to act fiscally responsible. Supporting a Presidential veto on bloated legislation would be a step in the right direction.
The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste is the lobbying arm of Citizens Against Government Waste, the nation's largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government.
