Dear Representative,

 You will soon be considering H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act.  On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to support this legislation.

The anti-American energy policies that have been adopted by President Biden’s administration and enacted into law in the 117th Congress have led to higher prices for oil and gas and reversed the energy independence that was achieved during the Trump administration.  H.R. 1 would reduce regulations and streamline the process that has made it far more difficult to start new energy projects in the United States.  The provisions of H.R.1 will fast track energy production, which will bring down energy prices and begin to restore the U.S. as a global energy leader.

For these reasons, I urge you to support H.R. 1.  All votes related to H.R. 1 may be among those considered for CCAGW’s 2022 Congressional Ratings.
