CCAGW Urges House of Representatives to Support Amendments to H.R. 4821

Dear Representative,
You will soon be considering H.R. 4821, the Department of Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to support the following amendments.
Amendment #13, offered by Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), which prohibits funding for the American Climate Corps.
Amendment #32, offered by Reps. Chip Roy (R-Texas), Kat Cammack (R-Fla.), Josh Brecheen (R-Okla.), Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), and Troy Nehls (R-Texas), which prohibits funds from being used to implement any of President Biden’s executive orders on climate change.
Amendment #71, offered by Rep. Garrett Graves (R-La.), which prohibits the use of funds in this act to issue new major rules if OMB determines that the rule will have a significant negative effect on the economy, increase inflation, or adversely impact American international competitiveness.
Amendment #92, offered by Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.), which reduces funding Bureau of Land Management funding by 50 percent.
Amendment #97, offered by Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.), which prohibits funds from being used to finalize any rule or regulation that has resulted in or is likely to result in an annual economic effect of $100 million or more.
Amendment #143, offered by Reps. Pat Fallon (R-Texas), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.), which prohibits the use of funds made available by this Act from being used to reduce the number of oil and gas leases issued by the Secretary of the Interior.
Amendment #205, offered by Rep. Bill Posey (R-Fla.), which reduces the EPA-Environmental Programs and Management account for the Office of Air and Radiation by 50 percent.
Amendment #227, offered by Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.), which reduces discretionary budget authority in the bill by 16 percent.
I also urge you to oppose the following amendments.
Amendment #202, offered by Rep. Mark DeSauliner (D-Calif.), which strikes section 447, which would prohibit funds from being used to consider the social cost of carbon.
