CCAGW Urges House of Representatives to Support Amendments to H.R. 4664

Dear Representative,

You will soon be considering H.R. 4664, the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024.  On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to support the following amendments. 

Amendment #31, offered by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), which prohibits funding for the White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy. 

Amendment #39, offered by Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-Wisc.), which prohibits funding for the FTC to issue Unfair Competition rulemakings.

Amendment #42, offered by Rep. Scott Fitzgerald (R-Wisc.), which prohibits funding for the FTC to enforce Section 5 of the FTC Act in a manner that is inconsistent with the Sherman Act and the Clayton Act.

Amendment #81, offered by Reps. Chip Roy (R-Texas), Kat Cammack (R-Fla.), and Josh Brecheen (R-Okla.), which prohibits funds from being used to implement any of President Biden’s executive orders on climate change.

Amendment #84, offered by Reps. Josh Brecheen (R-Okla.) and Monica De La Cruz (R-Texas), which reduces funding for the General Services Administration Real Property Activities to FY 2019 spending levels.

Amendment #87, offered by Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.), which prohibits funds from being used to finalize any rule or regulation that has resulted in or is likely to result in an annual effect on the economy of $100 million or more.

Amendment #127, offered by Rep. Garrett Graves (R-La.), which prohibits the use of funds to promulgate new major rules if OMB determines that the regulation is likely to result in a significant impact on the economy, a major increase in prices for consumers, or adverse effects on American global competition.

Amendment #147, offered by Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.), which reduces the amount for Salaries and Expenses of the FTC to FY 2019 levels.

Amendment #236, offered by Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.). which reduces funding for the Consumer Product Safety Commission to FY 2019 levels.
