CCAGW Letter on Amendments to S. Con. Res. 5

Dear Senator,

On behalf of the more than one million members and supporters of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW), I urge you to support the following amendments to S. Con. Res. 5:

SA 1- Sen. Paul:  Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute for Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2021.

SA 52 – Sen. Thune:  Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to limiting the authority of states and other taxing jurisdictions to tax certain income of employees working in other states or taxing jurisdictions.

SA 55 – Sen. Crapo:  Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to permanent extension of lower tax rates for individuals and small businesses.

SA 101 – Sen. Ernst:  Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to cost overruns and completion delays associated with government boondoggles that are more than $1,000,000,000 over budget or more than 5 years behind schedule.

SA 116 – Sen. Hoeven – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to preventing tax increases on small businesses during a pandemic.

SA 138 – Sen. Paul – Point of Order against funding programs that have expired or in excess of the authorized amount.

SA 165 – Sen. Braun – Point of Order against reconciliation legislation that would increase the deficit or reduce a surplus.

SA 168 – Sen. Braun – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to prohibiting the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency from proposing, finalizing, or implementing any rule or guidance that bans fracking in the United States.

SA 194 – Sen. Sasse – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to improving health care by expanding eligibility for health savings accounts by eliminating the tie to a high-deductible health plan.

SA 219 – Sen. Kennedy – Point of Order against concurrent resolution on the budget that does not provide for a balanced budget.

SA 254 – Sen. Lee – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to repealing the Davis-Bacon Act.

SA 257 – Sen. Lee – Spending-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to estimating value of government spectrum.

SA 288 – Sen. Braun – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to improving transparency in the 340B Program.

SA 343 – Sen. Thune – Sense of the Senate relating to rejecting efforts to pursue a one-size-fits-all government run health care system.

SA 344 – Sen. Thune – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to protecting Americans from the establishment of a one-size-fits-all government run health care system.

SA 347 – Sen. Thune – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to preserving and protecting the open internet.

SA 353 – Sen. Thune – Point of Order against raising taxes during pandemic.

SA 369 – Sen. Blunt – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to overbuilding broadband networks.

SA 375 – Sen. Paul – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to eliminating the use of official overtime by federal employees.

SA 384 – Sen. Scott – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to preserving pre-existing protections with respect to health insurance and ensuring that individuals can purchase the health insurance plan they want.

SA 412 – Sen. Scott – Point of Order against legislation that would increase the public debt limit.

SA 437 – Sen. Shelby – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to repeal of estate and generation-skipping transfer tax.

SA 440 – Sen. Rounds – Point of Order against a provision in legislation that would change the federal minimum wage.

SA 502 – Sen. Hagerty – Deficit-Neutral Reserve Fund relating to opposing the cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

CCAGW supports any point of order opposing any consideration of legislation that would change the number of Supreme Court Justices.  All votes on S. Con. Res. 5 will be among those considered for CCAGW’s 2021 Congressional Ratings.
